Unlock Parking Heater With Permanent Fault Codes!

This is a quick guide how to unlock your auxiliary heater without visiting the dealership! If you have permanent fault codes you cant get rid of you should try this.

VCDS is a scan tool made to work specifically with VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat etc. A great tool as well when it comes to coding and sorting out problems like the one in the video.

Hi @EFreddy! Hope u will assist. VW Technical could NOT be any more unhelpful. I think it may be related to an auxilliary heater (I could be totally wrong though)

Car is VW Passat CC (2015) 358 2.0TDi

I have error P302D00 PASSIVE/ABIOGENESIS High Heat Output Relay Short Circuit To Ground.

The error is easily replicated ieverytime f I set the temperature of heater blower to anything above LO and it started happening since ambient temperature has dropped sub 5°C.

Once the car has reached an operating temperature that shows the oil temp on cluster I can set the blower to a higher temperature and it will not generate error (I assume blower is now using coolant heater matrix for warm air?)

Any idea what is the cause and possible remedy for this? My car DOES NOT have a seperate switch otlr settings for any sort of "parked winter time heater" like I have seen in some other videos.

Hi, I have 01488 fault code - g241 sensor- showing coolant temperature at 150 C’ all the time. Can I do something via VCDS or it will work only with replacement the sensor?

Hei! I have a 2012 touran bmt highline but no webasto functions, switch or buttons. But theres a webasto machine installed in the engine bay. Is it possible to activate this using the vcds?

You video is very helpful to unlock it. After unlocking the parking heater. I get the code Fault Found: 0005 - Ignitor with Flame Monitoring B1385 1B [00001001] - Resistance Too High
Do you have any advise?
I have Golf GTE 2016.

I have vw passat b6 when i try to turn on auxiliry heater it turn off automatically and screen shows aux heating system error apart from that last month my car has aux heating menu in the screen but now there is nothing can you please help me
