'Biased': Why Oppn INDIA Bloc Moved A No-Trust Motion Against Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar

The opposition INDIA alliance today submitted a no-confidence motion against Jagdeep Dhankhar. He is the Vice President of India and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. This is the first time in India’s parliamentary history that there is a formal request to remove the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. The motion is believed to have the signature of around 60 opposition MPs. Congress' Jairam Ramesh called it a very painful decision, saying the step was taken in the interests of parliamentary democracy. Reports say the INDIA bloc was considering this move in August too. So why does the opposition want Jagdeep Dhankhar out?

Speaker of the house should not be simply neutral. He should be always slightly tilting towards opposition because the ruling party has powers and the opposition has only questions towards the power. This is true democracy.
Even if the speaker is lenient towards opposition the ruling party will never lose its power. At the same time in case of his lenience towards the ruling party the opposition parties become voiceless.
That is what is happening for the past 10 years.
