In this tutorial you will learn what queries are, why we use them in databases, how to create a new query to filter your data and produce a report based on your query results. The tutorial is focused on the Cambridge 0417 ICT IGCSE examination and i solve the problems from an actual past paper to demonstrate the skills required. This particular paper has a basic query and a complex report. Part 4B has a simple query and a complex report. During the tutorial i expand on questions to cover skills required which are not covered i n this paper.

paper in a few hours!
@ 30:15, what if they ask that the data has to be sorted by a certain name, eg- the report must contain data of only the word 'William' in it; it could be 'william shakespere' or 'william randomsurname' too, how do we sort them exclusively?

i do have my ict practicals of paper 2 tomorrow...in this past 2 years i litterally had no idea about database nd stuff but ur videos helped me a lot sir. thnx for ur help..probably will score good tomorrow coz its my final exam.

You can do the sorting of the columns in the report in the layout view a lot easier

I feel like theres a mistake on where it says... Show only results where ready is no and sold is yes... But you made them all as no or yes. Isnt it supposed to be those that were already no are the ones to be included in the query?

This helped alot for my upcoming igcse exam in a week!! just a qs tho, they said make sure the report fits in 1 page right? but your report was 3pages long so im confused if when you print it will it be printed on 1 page or 3?
