Australia Was Found

A foundation stone was laid in 1868… and then nothing happened for 24 years. No construction, no explanation—just a silent gap in the timeline. We’re told men with no architectural training—a carpenter and a cloth merchant—designed and built massive Gothic cathedrals and government buildings without blueprints, documentation, or even basic knowledge of structural engineering. And beneath these structures? A vast network of tunnels connecting schools, hospitals, and churches—places filled with children and the vulnerable. Why? And why do these buildings so often suffer mysterious fires right when questions start to surface? The story we’ve been given is crumbling—and what’s underneath is far more disturbing.

The "CLOTH MERCHANT" is a wink and a nod; the story was FABRICated.

As a retired Architect, I cannot express enough the rediculous notion that ANYONE with no 'formal' training in architecture/engineering could construct these masterful buildings. It is just NOT possible!!

The deeper you go down the "rabbit" hole, the more the "t" becomes silent.

Takes no training to hire teams of men to dig these buildings out.

Why? Trafficking children has been a business for a lot longer than people would think. Abuse of children in state care has also been exposed over the years.

I am from Newcastle and lived in Laman Street Cooks Hill, my street is full of old world buildings, St Andrews, Baptist Tabernacle, cooks hill primary school, library, Jewish synagauge in Tyrell Street, Obelisk top of Tyrell Street, the church you showed at the beginning. I went back a couple of years back and had another look with eyes wide open it is off the charts what we don't see when we sleep walk through this place. They have removed alot of them from Hunter Street so I took photos of what was left. Love your work thank you

I love how Wikipedia says "they designed hundreds of buildings" and yet never kept any of the documents. What is this early Mission Impossible stuff? This blueprint will self destruct. On a different note: I noticed more and more articles in the mainstream media trying to link this topic to conspiracy theories, specifically old buildings constructions, so I'm guessing My Lunch Break is making a difference out there!

I watched Hondo yesterday. It's a John Wayne cowboy movie. Right in the middle of the movie a cavalry soldier refers to a "well known" battle with tartaria. He mentions that it was studied at the academy. I can't believe I have missed it for all these years. Thank you for the lessons in our real history!

I come from Armidale and my parents were married in this church. I was always curious how such a small town ended up with such a grand cathedral. I was always asking how it was built, along with places like the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney when at the time we supposedly just had a very small population with pick axes and horses and carts. It never made sense to me. Love your work, so glad you covered some of Australia. There is planty more to investigate in the land down under!

People will say that the tunnels are here because Newcastle was the first coal mining town in Australia. But when you look at the condition of the tunnels, brickwork, etc and the dates that the tunnels and mine shafts were built, it makes absolutely no sense with the tools that were available at the time. Also, some towns in New South Wales only had a population of less than 200 people at the time that these massive structures were built. Impossible!

They would build a palace and then go home and lay on some hay. Gold! Comedy gold I tell ya!

Hi folks. I’m going to build a massive cathedral on top of Mount Everest, as the last one was destroyed in a fire. And I’m having a competition to select an architect (no experience necessary). It should only take a year to construct. Builders who all have the same name are invited to apply. 💀

A travel blogger of 1820's named Arago talks of arriving in Sydney seeing mansions and statues that rivals any classical works of Europe...

Easier to say they had no training, than to tell us the names of the places they trained and have us look for records of them having gone to those places.

It took our county over 2 years to complete a 2 lane short bridge to conform to current safety standards. Thank you for exposing the truth, much of it is heart breaking because of the destruction of old beautiful buildings.

Brother I am sooo happy you did an episode on my home town. There are stories I’ve heard about many more underground tunnels and structures around town my grandmother who only just recently passed was 101yrs old and had lived here in Newcastle her whole life. She reckons she was able to get into the basement of the old grace brothers building when she was in her 20s and she said to me “you wouldn’t even believe me if I told you, there is another city down there”. Anyway this alleged grace brothers building exists in the Newcastle mall only a block or so away from the Christchurch cathedral you talked about. There are also stories of underground bathhouses in the same area.
