My biggest issue with WSM now, which you touched on in this video, is that it’s still seen essentially as a TV show by the organizers and some of the sponsors. Their bottom line is the ‘entertainment’ factor for TV, and accordingly a lot of their decisions are made through that lens

This was fine years ago, when it was still kind of a ‘fringe’ sport. Nothing wrong with making a spectacle. But it’s not a TV show anymore. It’s a brutal competition with some of the very best and most gifted athletes in the world - who are with every year gaining more and more recognition

The only thing WSM has over the Arnold’s at this stage is the tital of World’s Strongest. But they will very soon find themselves eclipsed if they don’t recognize their fundamental flaws in thinking and shift to suit the growth of the sport, and the many new fans it gains each year

I love strongman but the organization that runs worlds strongest man is honestly ran terribly. They need to get with the times. The athletes are WAY ahead of the actual organizers at bringing fans to the sport and keeping them. No live stream is the most obvious mistake they make. It's sad that I think they're actually bad for the growth and future of the sport :(

I haven't watched worlds strongest man in years! I get the results and clips between Instagram and YouTube and then I don't bother with the actual program. I do however watch the Arnold's live and WUS. I wish WSM would broadcast live or close to live

I think it is much more interesting when it's filmed outside, especially through years in different locations.. A hall in Botswana looks the same as the one in Florida

100% agree with the 2nd question.
If you look at the Arnold shows that's all livestreamed via rogue - with the internet and how sponsors are you can definitely pull more money from it than the 1 show months down the line.
Can also kinda double-dip and do both; the livestream and a show the week later (with maybe the repeat at Christmas just for nostalgia reasons).
