I get it Hyundai. We already bought the cars and we’re two generations of head units behind. It’s not worth much effort for these updates. But please, before you abandon us completely, ADD THE MANUAL PRECONDITIONING BUTTON. We clearly cannot rely on timely updates to Nav, and right now Nav is the only want to precondition.

Hi, love your channel.

I have a 2024 Ioniq 5. It is my first EV and I truly love this car. I do wish I could have waited for 2025 and a rear wiper but I needed a car. Software can’t fix the lack of a rear wiper but there are some other things that could be improved.

I want just five things from you Hyundai. In order of importance to me they are:

1. Persistent i-Pedal. Let me set that as my default and make it stick.
2. Let me use Carplay and Android auto route planning apps to plan and navigate routes with charging stops and integrate that with battery pre-conditioning.
3. Walk away locks. (I know this would put a dent in your sales Corbin. Sorry buddy).
4. Give me the option to manually pre-condition my battery.
5. Move the speedometer reading to the centre of the display.

That’s it. Not too much to ask, I think.

The GV60 update was awesome. In addition to wireless Android Auto (and Apple CarPlay, which I don't use), Android Auto information appears on the head's up display, and as a summary on the screen in front of the steering wheel. As good as the way native navigation is displayed!

I am not disappointed with this update because I didn’t have any particular expectations. The route planning changes appear minor but helpful. I’ll be happy to wait for the OTA update. given how glitchy the USB process is. I just wish Hyundai would notify owners when updates are available and a time frame for the OTA updates.

Thrilled to see they actually did something to the route planning logic. Probably the most important part of the update for me, lol. Thanks as always Corbin!

Climate screen was nice to see it was all on one screen now.

Really could go for manual preconditioning before winter comes!

Wild that they don't even list the best feature in the update. I got the update last week and was so excited about the seat vent / warmer change... But sports scores? REALLY HYUNDAI?

There is obviously some serious disconnect between the people driving the update roadmap at Hyundai and the people who actually use the software.

The climate/warmer buttons update is the MASSIVE quality of life improvement here. That old Warmer screen looked nice, but was locked when in D (couldn’t use the sliders, had to tap the buttons instead). It also had the most annoying bug where if one taps the ventilation seats and wants a lower level of cooling, the system would switch to heating the seats at the highest level instead.

I don’t understand why the WARMER screen has to be so small and in the middle of the screen; put giant targets for us to hit instead please. The rest of the screen is empty anyway.

But it’s still a welcome fix. Thanks for that Hyundai!

2023 Ioniq 6 owner. Yeah, really wish wireless Apple CarPlay and battery preconditioning were rolled out.

Yup, got my wireless apple car play update for my GV60. Very happy with this upgrade. I bought my car two years ago, so bought it knowing apple car play was wired only. Wireless is much better. Now if they could just put a rear windscreen wiper on it…..

I would LOVE a manual precondition button thar you can assign to one of the programmable star buttons.

New climate screen is nice. Otherwise, yeah it's a massive let down given the delays. Even the sports thing no one cares about doesn't work. I also encountered a weird bug where "Driver Only" wouldn't disable properly in climate settings. Seemed fine after the car was off for a while but we'll see if it comes back. Wish they would just enable WirelessAA and add manual precondition. I'd never ask for anything else again!

Its my understanding that OTA does not work in Canada, you have to use a USB or the dealer to install any updates.

Love this event idea. I’m on the West Coast and wish you best of luck on it.

I thought the update was fine, although I wasn't expecting anything major (like wireless AA/Carplay).

The sports feature and adding stops using voice commands are meh.

The new seat warmer/cooling interface is great.

The changes to route planning are also good. Getting ridof that initial pop-up screen was much needed. Also, the route overview now shows arrival SoC, percentage to charge to, and duration for each charge stop. It also shows number of stalls and availability, as well as SoC on arrival at your final destination.

Manual preconditioning would be great.

Well, after that particular update on sounds of nature... Is it really a surprise how much emphasis they put on this sports feature? (Which is not available to us in Canada in any case)

Someone over at Hyundai either needs to do focus groups or reshuffle their priorities on what customers are actually asking for...

Love your channel man. Thanks for all the good reviews and info. Helped me pick the EV I wanted. Wish I could make the event but I live in SC. 😁

Why is the MY2024 Ioniq 5 still not listed in the Hyundai navigation updater?! Anyway, I recently did the V11 update on my 2024 and everything works fine!
Btw, awsome job Corbin 😊
