Brilliant! I watched this video a few times and went out and bought the tools and methodically did the job as this is the first time I've ever done any plumbing work. The video was so well explained and easy to follow, I did the whole thing effortlessly and even fitted two isolation valves and flexihose. Thanks for this video!

Great vid. Gave me the confidance and I fitted my kitchen tap this weekend, it was very tight but instead of welding to a box spanner I used my car socket set and fitted the box spanner on the end, worked a treat.

Once again, you’ve saved me money on a plumber visit to change the tap. Thanks.

This video is a great help to me: the spout cracked on my over-priced Franke Munich and then came apart when I tried to remove it, so now I have to replace the whole tap block. Your instructions just made that a heck of a lot less hassle. I should be able to undo the nut with a socket spanner, if I can get past the rigid tails those psychopaths put in the way.

Great vid - it explained everything really well in detail - learned what i should have done! now to redo the job to stop the tap wobbling & renew the flexible hoses.

Just finished fitting my new mixer tap. Mine was even more difficult to do, as I don't have a double undersink cupboard - just one, and with more pipes and fittings in the way! In addition, the original nuts and olives on the copper pipe tails connecting the HW/MCW isolating valves (lucky they were there and had 15mm screw threads) wouldn't come off, so I had to use a hack saw to remove the pipes.

Fitting the new one was much easier, especially as the clamping nut and bolt had to be fitted on the opposite side, which gave me more space to work with (the new tap set came with a plastic tool to use which actually worked fine). The new pipes were braided flexibles so weren't too bad to fit, albeit a bit long. No kinks as far as I could see.

All working fine no, and thus far, no leaks. Thanks James for the 'how to' video - it really helped. I certainly appreciate why plumbers charge quite a bit for their time and effort - I would NOT want to have to do this, day after day.

Helpful video. Bit worrying to see electric plug sockets underneath the sink?

Thanks. Good one. I have just attached the flexible connecting pipes to my new mixer tap. Ignoring the instructions to just finger tight I put the smallest of nips onto the pipes with my pliers. Now after seeing the way you did it I'm not sure if this was sensible. Just about to find out when I finish the job!
Edit - Just finished the job and it looks ok.

You weren’t messing when you said it’s tough to remove the old fittings! My hands got tired but super proud now the job is finished ✅ Great video, thanks for posting.

But you didn't show how you connected pipes you had cut at beginning?

Thanks so much. Got a dirt blocked hot feed on kitchen tap and couldn't get access to top end. Now know I need a tube spanner ! 👍🏻

Tubular spanners are definitely for the win.
As they used to say a decade ago.

The box spanner’s are Essential for this job, adjustable spanners in tight spaces are pure hell.

Excellent video mate. My kitchen sink tap was juddering and leaking when I'd have my hot water on upstairs in the basin or bath. Thought it may have been the pipework before untill I inspected the hot water tap which was the same monoblock you've just fit in. The hot water side was slack. Tried to tighten it up which I did using a Allen key however still persisted then used your method to fit in a new tap and it works perfectly. Word of warning to us guys in the UK. The cheap Amazon/eBay taps are ok but not used to our water pressure so will only last a while mines did 3 years.

Thanks just needed to confirm that finger tight is ok for the pipes at the tap end, so now I know!

Very good video, I had flexible pipes, and luckily, I had two isolation pipes hanging around, lol. I had to buy myself a set of Spaners to take the tap off

How did you connect the new tap to the old pipework? I think you missed a relevant stage out of your presentation.

Hi thanks for the video. It's great. But how do I solder/connect the new tap flexi taps to the copper piping? Any advise would be grateful.
