I love this song. I just lost my mom a month ago today. She was only 41, just shy of 42. She had been recovering from a heart and lung transplant for the last 18 months. My mom enjoyed reggae, and although she never knew Stick Figure (I didn’t know about him until 2018), I know she’d love his music. When she passed, she was fearless. She wasn’t scared, she wasn’t afraid, she was so at peace and went so gracefully. However, I just found this song very recently. Whenever I hear it, I feel like it’s a conversation between her and I. The first verse is her, second verse is me, and it continues that way throughout the song. I feel like it’s us having a conversation from Earth to Heaven. I miss her so much but this song gives me so much peace and it feels like we’re having a conversation. We’ll meet again one day, and on that day I’m going to show her this song and how it got me through life without having her physically here. How it was a song that I got to speak to her through. Thanks Stick Figure ❤️🙏🏼
