We're taking a detour from our current Discord Dashboard series to cover the basics of NestJS. In this video, you will learn the basics of NestJS. We will start from the NestJS CLI tool, generate a project, understand the project structure, and then understanding the basics of Controllers & Services.

In the next part of this mini-detour, we will look at setting up NestJS with PassportJS, Sessions, Session Store, TypeORM, MySQL. And then a follow up video (Part #3) will show you how to setup GraphQL.

Hey guys. Since we'll be using Nest.js for our Dashboard series, I decided to make a crash course on NestJS to introduce to you guys the framework. The code is in the description. There will be about 2 more videos following up this crash course so stay tuned!

Hey! For some reason, my website thingy doesn't refresh, so when I make changes in the codes it doesn't apply to the website? I have to close the cmd, and then run yarn start again for it to load the new changes? *NEVERMIND, FIXED IT. FORGOT TO ADD ":dev" WHEN STARTING*

Hello, I have a question, if I have, 50 users concurrently connected to my server and 30 of them load at the same time a .csv file with thousands of lines, where each line of the file must be validated before persisting in the database .
Since this task blocks the cycle of events, is there a solution with NestJS or should I definitely use another technology for these cases?

Why do you use Interfaces instead DTO? It's an Angular pattern or what else?
CITE: Interfaces can not compute properties or use decorators, whereas classes can. NestJS recommends to use classes because you can add decorators from class-validator to properties such as @IsString() or @Max(20). With interfaces such a validation would only be possible outside of the interface context.
