If you are watching this and hesitating to buy a feature phone, do it. It changed my life. Here is my recipe.
- I use the Punkt Mp02.
- I have an iPod classic for my music needs.
- I use a Garmin drive 52 for navigation in my car.

Only great things to say about this setup. Bring a book when you know you'll have time to kill. But there is a downside, it'll never be clearer to you how 99% of population is completely absorbed by their phones and addicted to their screen. You'll face a lot of times where you are with a group of people, heads down scrolling endlessly while you are there waiting for interaction and it'll be frustrating, but trust me, it is worth it.

Guys, a dumb phone doesn't mean it should not have any smart applications, it could have but with minimalistic interface that would just let you use it in need. For me personally, whatsapp only extra is were i can read important massages from relatives and reply with couple of words if i have to, because being offgrid is usefulbut still you dont want to effect someone who is close to you, you will eventually but try to minimise the effect. Dumb phones makes you offgrid which is necessary for smart phone detox, staying away from social media + any unnecessary usage of your phone. Ps: some people need dumb phone to live life out of virtual interface and some people need a dumb phone for their mothers or an elderly relatives.

The nokia 6300 and other recent basic nokia phones have terrible software. When you write a text message it constantly freezes up or disappears entirely. And the nokias are really cheap and nasty and overpriced.
