for me the it symbolizes, be wary of knowing everything for that is ignorance in itself.

instead some time ago, I ended up thinking of a tree in India, where people who ate of it, .. did pass away. they called it a pong tree, , . maybe that tree, was only one of the trees that the bible told about of those that brought forth corrupt fruit, .. but maybe wasn't related to the forbidden tree. but, it was not good.

if the fig tree was made from the forbidden tree, from its good half?, .. but the pong tree was made from the forbidden tree's bad half, maybe the good, .. and the bad (or Evil, ) finally got to be separated in time later, . I don't know. but it feels better in my mind, for true good, to finally become separated from "evil" from being forced to be on the same tree together, so that the good could be recorded that it go to be made to escape from the evil's side.. to leave it alone as its own tree leftover.
at least if this could have happened, then maybe some leftover justice occurred. but, to still not know, .. it helps to make for some hopes, to guess at.

I don't like the thought of the tree of knowledge, because with knowledge comes experiences. so, Adam and Eve.. didn't need any extra experiences that they didn't need to know about.

so, maybe instead, a stranger posing as the creator, flaunted to them about the tree of knowledge instead.

Honestly it really wasn’t about
fruit at all!
It’s sad but where did our biblical
scholars go?

It seems like more of a symbolic story.

This is presented as definitive, but it is really speculative

Is it possible that a fruit tree could produce multiple different types of fruit before the fall?

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Scripture doesn't clarify if it's fruit was figs so you are only speculating. We can also speculate that it was a completely unique fruit and they gathered leaves from a nearby fig tree. We know all manner of trees were in the garden and we know they used fig leaves. We also know they were driven from the garden because the tree of life was in the midst of the garden. Interesting for sure.

Fun fact, the fig is not actually a fruit. It is an Inflorescence, also known as an inverted flower. They can be full of mating fig wasps as well. Makes me question whether I want to eat one again. Lol.

The forbidden fruit was the KNOWLEDGE of Good and Evil. Prior to the knowledge of good which Adam already possessed, Adam did not know evil.
(Genesis 3:5)

Evil was forbidden in Eden. Eden is described as a paradise, a place where evil doesnt exist.
This is why God told them NOT to consume ANYTHING from the tree of knowledge of good AND evil.

Consider if you didnt know evil, you wouldnt think evil thoughts, thus wouldnt know evil at all nor could you do any evil.
They covered themselves (took it upon theirself to hide/cover their guilt).

God sacraficed an animal to cover their shame.

(For some reason I think the sacrafice is the lamb of God, which cancelled out the penalty of sin, thus why they did not die in that day. Dont quote me on that)

They could not eat freely from the tree of life(eternal life) in Eden with evil thoughts gained from the knowledge of good and evil, because their eternal life with evil thoughts continually would be terrible and would ruin eden.

God had to create a sacrafice, and come up with a way to santify his entire creation which he did on the seventh day.
Adam and Eve sinned on the 6th day.

The Bible contains many metaphors including the forbidden fruit. It is not a physical object

I disagree. Why would they cover themselves with fig leaves from the tree they were told not to touch? Wouldn’t They think when GOD saw them covered in the fig clothing that he would automatically know they touched and ate from the tree. Because when God came through the garden, they hid from him, which means they had no clue that God was omnipotent, all knowing and seeing meaning that he was watching and listening to them the whole time knowing what they were doing, if they knew that they would not have hidden from God thinking that he wouldn’t find them.

God wanted Humans to consume the fruit... Why would he make humans curious... Anything we are told not to do, we humans will always do that specific thing... God He himself wanted humans to consume the fruit and blame it on poor little snake who had no freaking idea what wrong he did
