They should have had the dark chocolate ones. I usually don’t like dark chocolate, but they are far superior and are the more popular option at Trader Joe’s.

Fun fact: the founder of Reese's once worked for Hershey's, then when he was fired, he bought secondhand factory equipment and cheap, slightly expired, overcooked peanutbutter. He used said slightly expired and overcooked peanutbutter to make the first Reese's cups. And they never changed the recipe.

I've unfortunately never had trader joes, but they probably taste better because they probably use fresh and properly cooked peanutbutter.

Idk why TJ’s has such good stuff. They have these dark chocolate layered wafer cookies that have some of the richest chocolate flavor I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend

Costco used to sell a product very similar and they were the best peanut butter cups I had ever had.
