Then, all bottles were made of reusable glass and food was prepared fresh, and that saved tones of plastic waste from food and drink packaging. unfortunately, glass bottles do not fit in today's supermarket logistic framework, and fresh food is now an expensive gourmet option, unavailable to most. besides, who is prepared to tackle Nestle? supermarket packaging is the biggest problem. until we return to local water wells, small local shops and reuseable glass bottles, nothing will change.
