Saw them at the Hollywood Palladium in 1982 opening for The Clash! What a concert! I was 16. Feel sorry for the kids of today.

There have been a few moments in history where a 'perfect' song has been written and performed. This is one.

My favourite song of the '80s. One of those special tracks that stays with you for days every time you hear it. So many amazing memories here.

Class of 85! Damn this is so bittersweet! Who else thinks that was the best time to be alive!?Latch key kids with no cell phones, social media, political correctness, etc… It was ALL about being free and having fun!

You have to really try to not get happy when you listen to The English Beat. What an incredible voice Dave has.

I didn't realise what an icon Rankin Roger was until he died. I grew up listening to his music, but never really knew what he looked like. Saw him live, thought he was amazing. Then saw these videos, he was that face that kept popping up everywhere. I was blessed to see him once live. I have yet to see junior

Before the music I used to swim against Dave (I think he came from Walsall) around 1968-70. Loved "Mirror" and nice to know he made a go of things in the States. I wound up jocking and living in Norway.

Just saw the band this weekend - Dave still sounds great and the sax player nailed every note on this tune. Crowd went beserk. So fun!

This came out in 82 but sounds like 92. Quite ahead of its time like other great 80s classics.

Playing for my young adult... who's into good music, turntables, and originality. Thank you 1980s.

I’m glad this video has been remastered… such a beautiful, timeless track! I especially love the orchestral backing in some of the sections.

At 63, I’m quite partial to music of the 60’s but every decade has great music and this one is quite memorable. ❤️

And shortly after this group split, we got the bands General Public and Fine Young Cannibals.

Fun fact: Two members of this group, Andy Cox and David Steele, produced two of Monie Love's best known hits: "Monie In The Middle" and "It's A Shame".

I had the biggest crush on the girl being drawn at the beginning. Then she dances like she is drying her nails lol. Thanks for the HD video!
