Convert k to g to mg to mcg

Just some advice, its best to take a chemistry class first. They teach you about leading and following zeros (significant figures). This video is very helpful because I just enrolled into nursing school. And some questions for clinical have these conversion so I am planning ahead. Thanks

would it be safe to assume we could cut down the writing by learning that if we are converting mcg to mg we move 3 places to the left, if it's mcg to g it's 6 places to the left and if it's mcg to kg is 9 places to the left? This wouldn't in some way ever be wrong right? lol Thanks!

She isnt helpful at all. It is 2 decimal places to move from kilogram to miligram. and its 3 to go to microgram to kilogram which was the only one she has gotten correct. This is poor information and could cause failure on the test for other students FYI
