What Cole Palmer did in the 2023-24 season and in terms of impact and performances, that’s where he had the best individual season out of any player last season. 25 goals and 16 assists 41 G/A in all competitions, he had the 3rd most goal contributions out of any player in Europe in the league he had 22 goals and 10 assists 2nd most goals, had the most goals and assists combined out of any player in the premier league alone. These are Ballon Dor numbers from him. He beat Eden Hazard’s best ever season in terms of goals and assists and he did something that even he has never done before which is score 20+ goals in a premier league season and he’s 22 years old. He did this in his first full season as a regular starter and compared to guys like Kylian Mbappe Harry Kane Jude Bellingham Vinicius Junior Phil Foden etc, he played on a far weaker team than them. He did all of this on a struggling team. I’m not trying to say he’s better than all of them, but in a season evaluating a player’s performance and comparing them to one another, we should look purely at individual brilliance without always looking at who won more trophies. Around this time 12 months ago when Manchester City was about to win the treble, the guy was nothing more than a benchwarmer and he went from that to being in the England squad for the EUROs and some believe that they made a mistake in getting rid of him.

Sometimes you wonder where Chelsea would’ve been without him. He is the only reason why they finished 6th place in the Premier League and secured European football for next season as at times I felt like they were a one man team that’s how much of a carry job he had on his shoulders as his individual brilliance covered up some of the cracks they had. We have a guy who couldn’t get a game at Manchester City being the main man on a team surrounded around overpaid mercenaries who are on 10+ year contracts and he was responsible for majority of their attacking output whether he was scoring, creating chances and plays for himself and teammates. Do you know just how impressive this is, some have found ways to downplay his performances calling him a “penalty merchant” think that his form last season was just a “purple patch” and think that he wouldn’t be this good if he wasn’t playing for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. People need to realize that a goal is a goal and while he did score a lot of penalties and didn’t miss a single one, that alone didn’t boost his numbers and if it was so easy to score a penalty, then many players would’ve never missed a penalty that they took and for periods of the season he has shown that his form wasn’t a fluke at all. If you think that playing on Manchester City is why he’s so good, I don’t know what to tell you and while yes they were a stacked team filled with talent in multiple positions, Palmer wasn’t good enough to break into the team on a regular basis and he knew that he would be a starter elsewhere since he wanted to go out on loan, Pep said that he should either stay or they sell him on a permanent basis and they did the latter. In any other season with him having over 40 G/A, if Chelsea was competing for the premier league title and they were playing in the champions league, he would easily be a “Ballon Dor contender”. Next season he’ll be under pressure to maintain his form and prove that he’s a world class player and not a “one season wonder” because he isn’t world class after one season even though he had more goals and assists than the likes of Phil Foden Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka on a weaker team compare to them. With the way he’s playing, is there truly room for him in England’s best starting lineup for the EUROs when everyone is fit because he has to play whether it’s as a right winger or a CAM and what Gareth Southgate does with him will be interesting to see what he does with him. Whatever you think of this team, the fact that Palmer one of the most in form players in the world might not even start for the England national team at the EUROs when he would start for any country in the world tells you how stacked their team is.

Last season lots of new signings like Caicedo, Enzo, Jackson and also many for them injury.. not fit, but believe in me. They will be better same like what we see Cold Palmer in his first season.. they all was really young, lots of pressure because many main players was leaving. many to learning, i Believe with Todd new signings players but what i dont agree with him is he signed lots of players like example he signed CB like Disasi, Badiashile.. but also in the squad they already has player like Chabolah, Colwill etc. to many players will be so hard coach to pick which players to play. they all struggle, market value will be drop & maybe the players has plan to leave but I really hope that Enzo Maresca coming to Chelsea to save them. I really hope all new signing will be worth next season because they all still young & has many years to learning...

You knows if every Chelsea players perform . Chelsea no need to spend in future. What the smart of Todd is he give long contract.. so we will see many season of them playing with Chelsea if they playing well.. Goodluck for new season... i waited for it🤕

Man city mistake is selling a player that will replace Kevin De bruyne in future. I see this is win win situation because De Bruyne when he young, he also play with Chelsea but success with City.

Sometimes, the players they was good but maybe not fix in tactical and positions that they playing, role, has someone more important in teams, many issue dll.. that why, the club every players need to choice also very important for they career.
