Chinese farmers make rap video to boost apple sales

An apple farmer in northwest China's Shaanxi Province has gone viral after posting a rap video of himself and other villagers waxing poetic about their delicious produce.

The rapping farmer, who's also the village's Communist Party secretary, speaks a distinctive dialect, which has added to the allure on-line.

Now the village is raking in the profits from exploding on-line sales.
By the end of last year, they'd earned roughly 574,000 U.S. dollars.

With rap songs about apples proving to be a success, the villagers hope to repeat business model with corn and sweet potatoes.
