I also often think about this song and I Can Fix Him being like two sides of the same thing. She walks into the bar to get him in ICFH, and now she's walking back in to prove her point after whatever happened

The bygones line is so clever!! “Bygones will be bygones” means to forget past offensives and move on. A “bygone era” means a time far in the past. So she’s combining the two phrases!! 🤯

I also think the “once you fix your face” could also be a reference to him needing to first repair/ fix his public image, and only then will she be “going in”

I also think “Standing at the bar like somethings funny, bubbly. Once you fix your face I’m going in” could mean that Matty knows Taylor has just entered the bar and he pretends not to see her and laugh as if he’s having a good time. And then before she approaches him he quickly fixes his hair because he wants to look good for her and she sees that happen. It’s like when Harry Styles fixed his hair just before Taylor approached him to congratulate him at the Grammys!
