Chemist here: dry ice is not toxic, but is dangerous on contact due to the temperature. I do not recommend putting more than 1/2 gram of dry ice in a drink. It will sink, but you do not want your lips to touch it. You should not put the glass to your lips until it stops sublimating.

Honestly dry ice is really fun in a large pitcher with a spout, but I would not recommend putting it in a glass like this if you don’t know what you are doing.

It’s Halloween season so have fun but please be safe, the last thing anyone wants is an injury that can be easily prevented with common sense
