I dont garden myself, but my dad did, and it was seven of us kids. Growing up i would say, we ate the best food possible out of that garden. We lived on two acres of land and i know one acre was nothing but garden. My mother canned everything in quarts and half gallons, pickels, sauer kraut, jams, jellys, and all kinds of fruit and veggies. We as her children do not do any of that stuff to our loss. Those are great skills to have. If only we knew what was good back then.🙏❤️🙂

I freeze dried basil, rosemary and thyme last week. The smell is incredible and it has so much more flavor than the crap they sell at the store.

Vine ripened tomatoes completely shifted my perspective... I was completely unprepared for how beautifully fragrant Tomatoes are... My mother grew Cherry Tomatoes and few other varieties... They smelled like Roses, with underlying fresh tomatoes, and were sweet like fruit...
