Damn, that cameraman got the perfect moment.
That shot of that smug smile on Jon Stewart's face puts a smile on my face. I'm really glad for him and the first responders. Heroes shouldn't be left behind.

Jon Stewart isn't a politician or a first responder. Jon is just someone who is eloquent, informed and can argue well. Remember: Everybody can do their part in their own way.

It is not just the responders who are covered, it also covers the kids who attended schools in dust filled classrooms because the "authorities" said it was safe, people who were living and working in the deadly debris dust, and the volunteers who came into the crash areas to do recovery and clean up. Well done Jon and all!

A comedian/activist actually made a difference! Well done Jon Stewart and well done first responders. Your government has not shown you respect.

The tenacity that Jon Stewart has shown on this issue, is really a thing of beauty, but i fear it pales in comparison to what the First Responders and their families have had to witness over the years. To FDNY, NYPD, Port Authorities New York and EMS New York I salute you on this great day.

Rand Paul, even the deplorables in his party think that he has gone too far.

I'll pay for a copy of that picture to put on my wall and have the proceeds also go to the 9/11 first responders

Stewart is a class act - and bouquets for Colbert for highlighting his unflagging effort to get back what first-responders so readily risked on September 11...their health, well-being and futures. I'm yet to work out whether Rand Paul and Mike Lee are sitting on top of a pile of garbage or are buried underneath it.
