Vision and purpose are incredibly important elements of growing and nurturing great #scrumteams. If the team understand why something is important and how that will contribute value to the customer or end-user, they are better positioned to solve the problem effectively or create the product or feature that best serves the customer.

#userstories were invented with the purpose of explaining why something matters, how it matters, and to who it matters. A brief explanation that provides the developers with context and informs them of how the new feature or product will solve a real problem for a customer.

In #scrum, writing user stories is usually associated with the #productowner but that isn't always the case. Nor should it be.
