Quiberon is located in the Morbihan region of southern Brittany - it is known as the Quiberon peninsula as its a spit of land some 12km in length, with the town of Quiberon at the end.

The Quiberon peninsula is a 12km long strip of land that stretches out into the sea, at one point being only a couple of hundred meters wide with the sea on both sides. The left hand side of the peninsula is sheltered from the power of the atlantic where as the right side, known as the savage coast feels the brunt of all that is thrown at it. It has some spectacular coastline and is favored by many water sports with its prevailing winds.

Quiberon had a famous battle take place known as the Quiberon bay battle between French exiled royalists supported by the British and the French Revolutionaries during the 7-year war in July 1795.

I hope you enjoyed this short video of Quiberon France, it's a stunning place to visit and a very popular Brittany tourist attraction.
