Should You Stop Using Meta Description Tags?

Meta Description Tags are within the source code and lets the search engine know what you want to be featured in your meta description in a search result. It is true that many times meta description tags do not appear in some search results, but it is our belief that if Google is going to show these tags, it is in fact important for your site.

It is possible Google will just perform an “auto snippet” and create the tag from your content themselves, but it is still best if you have written this tag yourself to include your call to action and actually covers the keywords being queried for that particular page. We think it is important to continue to use it, and in our opinion, anything Google puts on a search results page means it's important to Google.
