Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Air Lift EZ One Wireless Air Compressor System. But before we do that, let's take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna be the right compressor for you. So if your truck has airbags on it, a compressor kit is gonna be a great addition to add. That way you can control the amount of pressure in your bags very easily, you know, more or less on the fly, but without having to get the air hose out and fill 'em up manually, so on and so forth. And over the years I've installed a ton of these compressor systems from all the different manufacturers and a lot of different styles of 'em, and time and time again, I find myself always coming back to the Air Lift Wireless Style compressor.

They just have a big advantage over quite a few of the other ones. One of the reasons I say that is the kits are really well thought out and put together, even down to the small details. One of the reasons I like the setup is the mount. So everything's kind of built into one mount, you know, the manifold and the compressor together. They give you a no drill bracket, so this whole bracket and this a big U-bolt that just clamps around the frame, so it makes it really straightforward to get everything sorted.

Even the wiring harness is all pre-made and high quality. Everything they do, you know, it's with the end user in mind. They make it as simple and straightforward as possible. One of the main reasons I'm a fan of these wireless compressor systems is the fact that we don't have any gauges or switches or nothing to mount up on our dashboard and on these late model trucks and any vehicle in general, there's just so much going on. You know, you got all these buttons, screens, switches, so on and so forth.

It's really difficult to find a spot to mount up on the dash where you can actually see and get to, you know, the traditional style ones, the analog ones where you have your gauges and the buttons that you use to inflate and deflate 'cause with those are bulky, you gotta run a ton of airlines in and set everything up and you're just outta space. And so the wireless system eliminates all that. You know, you're gonna be able to control everything with this little remote, but not have to modify the inside of your truck at all. And as far as communication and everything, with these Air Lifts, it's really rare that you run into an issue. They're usually really responsive and work like you'd expect 'em to.

And with this particular setup, you get the remote and you can download an app on your mobile device, whether it be Android or Apple, and control it that way. I would probably use that more as a backup because the remote just works so well, but it's there if you need it. And to be honest with you, after using the app quite a bit, it seems to do okay. Sometimes it's a little finicky if I'm being honest, but ultimately what app isn't As far as the remote goes, there's a nice clamp on it. So you can put it on your sun visor like you would a garage door opener. It stays with the truck, you ain't gonna lose it. And to wake it up, just push any of the buttons there, and it's really straightforward. So right now you have five pounds of air in the bag and that's actually one of my presets. So you got a preset there and a preset there. So usually I'd recommend one of your presets being the maintenance setting, more or less. So just about every airbag on the market is gonna require at least five pounds of air in it, just for safety reasons, and so you don't destroy the bag. So when you're not towing, you know it's a good preset to have, right And when you key the truck on, it'll automatically go to that preset. So if you happen to lose air overnight, you know if it's winter time or something, it'll fill it up full air to where to what your preset is, and then your other one, you can use, you know if you pull one trailer around, you know what works or gets you in the general ballpark, at least, you can do that, but it'll go from 5 PSI and you can run it all the way up to 100 PSI. Chances are pretty good you're never gonna need that much pressure, but it is doable.
