A war between Russia and Finland would be a grave mistake for Russia. They can barely advance against Ukraine, and a multi-front war would be a disaster for them, not to mention that the Swedish and Polish could join in too.

fun fact: On May 16, 1940, during the Battle of Stonne, the French heavy tank Char B1-bis commanded by captain Pierre Billotte attacked frontally a group of German tanks and destroyed 13 of them (PzKpfw III and PzKpfw IV), while itself, despite receiving 140 hits, withdrew from the fight undamaged.

At the beginning of the war, Russia wanted to close the cauldron near the Dnieper, then the plans changed to the encirclement of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, later it was limited to Lugansk and these truly Napoleonic plans ended with the inveterate Lugansk region.
