I tried this method and unfortunately it did not work. But what worked for me was transferring the document from my PC to my one drive and then I opened the file up from there. Hope this helps

Well, that didn't work for me. Very clear video and great directions. Will try other video's to see if I can get it to repair.

What eventually worked was going into my recycle bin and finding a older file that I restored. It was an older file, but at least it wasn't starting from scratch. I did not know that Word will place those files in the recycle bin - you know the ones it ask you if like to save these files or discard when you go back into the program. So this was very helpful.

It didn't work. My word file extensions renamed to something else like .iz2w or .JG10 how do I fix that?

hello. plz i have this issue but with WPS. my file is 400 pages. hard work. not its 4, blank pages and im freaking out. how can i recover them? i dont even know how it happened. it does not say corrupt. its just 4 blank pages out of 400. plz help.
