Losing her dad so young, being there when he died, factored so much into the person she became and a lot of times, those around her forgot that fact. Cristina was such a complex character, one of my all-time favorites from any series. And they struck gold when they cast Sandra to play her. Actually, the show has been overall pretty great with casting/creating characters, with a few hiccups along the way, like Eliza Minnick and that character that Alex dated briefly (I can't even remember her name) she was blonde and was the doctor Alex worked with when Callie had Sophia. She was part of the music episode and Alex turned down a job to remain with her, but she ended up taking the job he had turned down.

in case you didn't know Cristina and her dad was in car crash when she was 9 and Her dad died well she was trying to stop his chest from bleading wait for help.... Hope that helps?
