Mufasa The Lion King did THIS, and here’s why!

Except for the fact that in the lion guard which is also a Disney produced series, they said that they were Brothers from the beginning, not unrelated at all. So they're breaking the lore that they already established

Mufasa and Scar are actual brothers in the animated movie the reason behind Scar's scar when he was a cub he hang out with the hyenas and his father found out and got so angry and struck him across the eye

In "The Lion King: A Tale of Two Brothers" Scar got his scar from an botched attempt to hurt Mufasa by making him talk to a water buffalo to demand he shared the water during a drought.
Scar got picked up by the rest of the herd and he had to be rescued and carried back to their father who took his name to shame him.
Nobody was allowed to call him Taka again.

Doesn't help that Scar was always in Mufasa's shadow as the second born son, never gotten the chance to show if he was King material in the first place or not and that made him so jealous.

No matter what was pitched, Scar even mentions the shallow end of the gene pool when talking about why he doesn’t outright fight Mufasa. They were brothers. The entire story is based off Hamlet.
So no, the retcon is just stupid. They already screwed up the remake. How this got greenlit is beyond me.

I always thought the Lion King was just another variation on the "Hamlet", with the removal of a connection between Scar and Sarabi (the mom) because it's Disney

Like, chill. Scar’s had like 3 or 4 different backstories in Disney. They retcon it all the time.

scar represents the fact that harm to a child is most likely to occur via someone within the family rather than from a complete. a kid is morelikely to be harmed by their uncle than by their teacher.

Regardless of other sources, it also makes since that they wouldnt be related but still call each other "brothers" as this is what real male lions do. They will band with other lions their age, usually from the same pride but not necessarily related, and form a new pride

One thing i didnt like about the film was that that white lion gave taka his scar on his eye which is odd since in the lion guard scar himself explained that a strange lion was with a snake and the snake bit him and the strange lion said to give the medicine if scar does what he says but scar was angry so he blasted them away with his roar so now im confused on how he got his scar since there are 2 scenerios i just told you guys

In the first lion king, scar literally says “looks like I got the wrong end of the GENE pool” however the Mufasa movie goes against that. it pisses me off
