Players take on the role of 'Prophet' as he returns to New York, only to discover that the city has been encased in a Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. Set in 2047, Prophet is on a revenge mission after uncovering the truth behind Cell Corporation's motives for building the quarantined Nanodomes. The citizens were told that the giant citywide structures were resurrected to protect the population and to cleanse these metropolises of the remnants of Ceph forces. In reality, the Nanodomes are CELL's covert attempt at a land and technology grab in their quest for global domination. With Alien Ceph lurking around every corner and human enemies on the attack, nobody is safe in the path of vengeance. Everyone is a target in Prophet's quest for retribution.

Honestly, I never saw what was so special about the first Crysis, the second one was actually better in my opinion. Before a fuck-ton of people start flaming at me, I say this because the first Crysis is an average shooter that pretends to be a open world game but the path to get to your objective is laid in front of you, giving me little reason to take another route. Crysis 2 improved gunplay, Nanosuit powers, and gave you more options as to how you want to handle each battle.

I agree, I had an amazing time with the original Crysis multiplayer, I feel exactly the same way you do man. I used to run my own Crysis dedicated server for the first game. The way the second game went all Call of Duty on us was complete bullshit IMO, the story did not move me, and although the graphics were pretty nice, it's all just worthless eye-candy to me if everything else got screwed up. I hope the third game is better.

I honestly thought Crysis 2 was a boring game, the story felt like playing a sectioned off shooter. Every scene felt confined because it was, didn't have that feel like the first Crysis. Even though the setting changed, the confinement feel was very obvious. Multiplayer was bad in general, too generic and bland, very one cloaks around, smack or be smacked.

Haha. When I bought Gears of War 3 on launch date Gamestation(UK game retailer) gave me a Crysis 2 code to download the game for free. This was back in September and I still haven't redeemed it. Must be bad then ey....

Crysis 2 is awful especially compared to 1. The reason I hated the game was because it tried to be like COD. Did u play the multiplayer? It was a straight up rip off of COD.
