DARWIN GET READY #PitchBlack24 is here!! The Mindil Beach Flying Display and RAAF Base Darwin Open Day events are back for Exercise Pitch Black 24! 😍✈️🌅
 
🗓 Mindil Beach Flying Display Thursday, 18 July 2024:
➡️ Set against the stunning backdrop of the NT sunset, this free, non-ticketed event will coincide with the regular Mindil Beach Markets.
 
➡️ This year, over 45 military aircraft from Australia, Asia Pacific, Europe and the USA will perform flypasts and displays between 5:00pm and 6:30pm.
 
🗓 RAAF Base Darwin Open Day between 9am-4pm on Saturday, 20 July 2024:
➡️ The Open Day is a free community event but visitors will require an ENTRY TICKET for crowd management and services Tickets will not be available at the event and must be pre-purchased via OzTix from Midday on 20 June.
 
➡️ The Open Day is a great opportunity to see the latest operational aircraft and meet Australian and international air and ground crews from over 20 nations participating in Exercise Pitch Black.

Being under the flight path I’m getting a rather noisy community event every day.

I saw the New Zealand Flag in there, what did they do? Squeeze the orange's? Put up the tent's? Cook the BBQ's? Does the NZ Airforce have any planes that aren't usually found in a kids Christmas stocking? I'm a Kiwi by the way ( living in Oz ) and I'm not aware of NZ having any money to even spend on real planes, last time I heard, the NZ Airforce gave the few jets they had left to Australia as payment for a fuel bill they couldn't pay.
