'Why can't I get out of gold?'

the return of viewer coaching :D

episode 006: brawlhalla viewer coaching, today we're focusing on gold players to see what the average player struggles with!

i host these periodically on twitch with announcements for when they start posted on twitter and in the discord server. viewers are randomly selected via a bot to come on stream and play a best of 5 set to analyze their play and hopefully point out some of the general habits that may be holding them back from ranking up in brawlhalla. it's educationally driven, so please don't flame anyone that comes on stream (and don't even if it wasn't!)

We need more content of this, not specifically for gold players, it's just so cool that you can read the thought process of a specific player in just like 3 games and giving advices on his/her strengths and weaknesses.

It took me 4 seasons to get out of gold. My major issue was not being able to punish sig spammers, but when I picked up fait and dedicated myself to scythe I climbed quickly.

Some things to note for any good brawla player. get good at stage control, practice your n lights, stop jumping into every engage, dodge away from scythes, time your dodge to the sound of katars if you get caught in the loop.

I stopped playing ranked because every time I enter the queue i start teleporting and misinputting

I am Brazilian. One day I decided to play on American servers, and I didn't have all this lag.
Talking about the video, in my experience in the ranked Brazilian players are very aggressive. They just use random attacks. They just pray that it works.
I'm still gold, and I have the impression that I do better against players from higher elo's than against golds.
I don't know if it's like that on American servers, but if you do, please reply to my comment, because I'm curious.

Honestly I've fought high gold and I'm pretty good at Fighting them but when low gold... I don't really know why but my brain turns into mush

I once get out of gold then get back in gold in few minutes.

Im high gold (1600 elo) and i got to platinum once, but when i try to grind rn, im always fighting against mid platinum and sometimes low diamond :(
