This OxygenOS 11 tips and tricks guide shows you how to use some of the best new features on the OnePlus 8T, which comes with Android 11 out of the box. This updated launcher will be rolling out to older phones like the OnePlus 8 and 7T, and here's a review of some of the latest changes and improvements. While no huge new features have been added for Oxygen OS 11, you do get several tweaks to existing stuff. The Ambient Display clocks have been updated and expanded with the likes of Insight and Canvas options. You can also now do loads more from the OnePlus power menu, including using Google Pay and playing with your smart home gear.

Old favourites like the Shelf and Game Space are also back in action. The OnePlus 8T can blaze through titles like PubG and Call of Duty, and Game Space can be called upon to block notifications, open WhatsApp or Instagram windows and activate Fnatic mode.

Overall the OxygenOS aesthetics have been improved too. Everything is now easier to use with one hand, although no - there's no actual one handed mode.

I enjoyed your review. I ordered a OnePlus 8T to replace my OnePlus 3 which is still working well except for battery life. I am in Toronto and it was shipped from California. It arrived in 24 hours. Very impressed so far. The migration of apps and data was easy. There are so many improvements from the previous phone. It will take a while to become familiar with them.

3:28 you don't have to open the Google Pay App in order to pay with it, the device just needs to be unlocked and NFC has to be turned on

Great feature thanks - would love to see Oxygen add the ability to move the Home Screen to change its position in relation to other app pages on your phone ie; move my Home Screen into the centre of two other pages of apps so I can priorities apps swiping right and keep games and other less important app by swiping left. The google page and still sit to the left of the important app page.

This is miles better than stock Android. I don't know why people love stock Android so much. It lacks so many features and I used on a daily basis. And by now you should probably know that a good phone company can optimize the phone just as good, if not better than Google's stock Android, so it has nothing to do with the custom skin. I owned a pixel, and as much as people praise the stock experience, the phone start to be laggy in less than a year after a few updates with many missing features and crazy battery drain.
