A full 4K demonstration of the hunt myself and the devs attempted on stage last week at the Final Fantasy XVI launch event. Showing off the Hunt system, along with one of it's most challenging boss fights, the S-Rank Atlas.

I still remember when Max was invited on stage to try this and Koji said "This Max guy is pretty good". Also kudos to Max for petting the dog before that fight started.

I didn’t originally know that max was going to be at this event, I actually tuned in to his stream and was disappointed to see that he’s not streaming it, then it was funny tuning in to the FF channel and seeing him sitting there next to the developers

He got his revenge...but dood it was super fun watching Max fight this live. He was so close too!!

The livestream of this fight with Max nearly defeating Atlas, hearing Kenny in the background hyping up Max and Ryota getting his revenge, was hype AF. I cant wait till next week!

I accidentally stumbled upon Atlas at level 36. I had Joshua, Jill, and Torgul in my party.

When I saw S Rank I figured "I'm gonna die, so I'll just see what it's like".

As soon as I saw him taking damage, I switched my mindset.

I just about handled it using every Hi-Potion and being on the brink of death twice. Also recorded it, and after playing it back... Thank God for the healing that comes with limit breaks.

Watched this live at the event. The cheers for both you and suzuki were insane, it was like being at a boxing match.

Since we know Max did well, watching Suzuki play around with that boss like food just goes to show how satisfying the combat becomes when fully mastered. I expected him to be good obviously because he designed the combat system, but actually seeing him play the game with such skill right in front of you on stage was something completely different

Loving the combat in the demo, lot of depth if you want it there or can be a simple button masher. Very happy to see they are added actually challenging fights in this game. I remember fighting some of the side bosses in FF15 and even if they hit like a truck, you were never in any real danger since you had so many healing items at all times and if you got in trouble a summon would just win the fight for you.
