Following up his second full length album ‘Little By Little’ from last year, Lane 8 returns to his spiritual home on Anjunadeep. As seen on Anjunadeep 10 through the lens of a James Grant and Jody Wisternoff edit, ‘Feld’ features vibrant organic synths combined with choir-like vocals, whilst ‘Anthracite’ sees him team up with Anjuna mainstay Tinlicker on a hard-hitting club monster. Ryan Davis also returns to Anjunadeep to mould an IDM-infused techno perspective on ‘Feld’, reinventing the airy nature of the original into a dark, brooding remix.

The transition from 0:30 till 1:02 is genius. Blending a reverb-laden saw with single sawpluck, gradually hi-passing it, and then BAM! back with fat kick and more bass-driven pluck. There are so many subtleties in Lane 8's compositions where the entire track just first slowly, then COMPLETELY transforms. Been listening ever since his Wallflower remix, one of my all-time faves.

As soon as the first kick and percs starts you can obviously hear that the mastering on this one is on another level.... then, the track itself is absolutely BRILLIANT !!!!
