New Divide Suite | Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Original Soundtrack) by Linkin Park

Much like they did with Battle Cry for Age of Extinction, Linkin Park's New Divide was used throughout Revenge of the Fallen's score as it's own musical motif. The recurring part of New Divide that's used in the score is the two note guitar riff that begins the song, which is played throughout the score on heroic brass accompanying the song's own background guitar melody. While the rest of the song isn't really used outside of the main riff and some instrumental flourishes, it still makes New Divide apart of the movie's score in a really cool and unique way. It's a shame that someone as talented and skilled as Chester Bennington was taken so soon, because New Divide is just one example of many of Linkin Park's raw, genuine musical talent.

First of all, I just wanna say, RIP to Chester Bennington. 1976-2017. And second of all, I now wonder, if Steve Jablonsky didn’t just go to any of Linkin Park’s live concerts to see them do their songs live. I also now wonder, if he went on stage for a live LP concert, to do his own takes of Linkin Park’s music, for the Transformers movies, way before Chester Bennington, passed away in 2017. But I guess that we will never know, since Chester Bennington passed away.
