Assam, Meghalaya sign agreement to resolve 50-year-old boundary dispute

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma signed an agreement Tuesday to resolve the 50-year-old pending boundary dispute between their states, in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.

This is the right time for government to solve major state borders, atleast in areas where BJP is in power at both State & Center while urging other states like Punjab & Haryana, Orissa & Andhra etc. to also move forward on solving border issues.

By 2024-25 Govt. should plan for solving atleast the North Eastern border issues so that we can focus on larger objective of securing borders from Illegal Migration from Bangladesh & Myanmar as well as focus on China border problem with a renewed vigor.
