Gibson Les Paul Classic 2017 T Electric Guitar Review

Don Carr presents the Gibson Les Paul Classic 2017 T guitar. It blends everything we all love about the '60s-era Les Pauls with modern enhancements that make them reliable workhorses for modern guitarists. The weight-relieved mahogany body is still capped with the familiar maple top. And the Les Paul Classic T's SlimTaper neck profile has been a favorite for years. Additions such as locking Grover tuners and rolled fretboard edges make the guitar incredibly comfortable.

every guitar these days has a flame top .. I just bought one a 2017 on reverb for $1225 love the plain jane tops just like the old 70's les pauls when I was growing up .. had a couple of early 70's les pauls wish I never sold them use to buy them from the pawn shops in 80's for around $400 . I had a 1978 White custom ... 78 wine red standard and a 1972 deluxe LOL ...This guitar sounds close .. great tone and classic looks ...

It is a grade a flamed maple top guys. Gibson judges them by the depth of the curls in the wood. It's the way it's finished. If they would've oil it more the flame would've came out more.you really don't start seeing the deep curves in the flame until you get to AA or AAA.

Hi there Sweetwater people... nice sounds.... I'd like to learn what Les Paul from the 2017 line has the best warm/darkish Les Paul tone? I feel the standards are quite bright and I'd rather a slim-taper neck than a 50s so... the classic T? Maybe some studio or Tribute? a good answer to be much appreciated.

Really nice! Where can I find this backing track from the beginning of this video?

Maybe getting one of these, passive pickups are going to be the first thing to go though. They'll be replaced by a set of Zakk Wylde EMGs

Any tuning issues? I bought the 2016 Gibson Flying V Pro T, the tuning issues were so bad, Gibson ended up replacing it, and the replacement guitar they sent me isn't much better to brutally honest.

What do you play it through? I mean, that tone is phenomenal... I know your playing plays a gigantic role in the equation but still, what amp/effects do you use?
