Creative Bonsai Landscape Challenge

Today's video is how I created my landscape bonsai that Gail from @ggevergreenbonsai1259 challenged me to make. It was a very fun and challenging process for me to create a landscape. I hope you all enjoy the video and thank you for watching!

Challenge Rules:
1.) Have a special feature (ex: figurine, water, mountain, etc.)
2.) Use a bonsai you styled
3.) Get out of your comfort zone
4.) Create a short
5.) Create an instructional video

Sometimes from the big box stores you can find a nice forsaken plant at a good price to rescue. Nice rescue tree.

Very nice! There are so many challenges now, I have not been able to keep up with work going well into winter. Now I'm off for a bit, but I have to start seeds catch up on weeding and trimming and all the videos I missed!! Well done!

Wow! Great video and landscape Matt. I think you know that you definitely beat me with regard to making your own special features. Your tree was well styled too - excellent rescue!! I can’t get over how well you talk to the camera without saying “So” or “Um” or fluffing your words like me. You’re a true natural.
Great job. You fitted so much into that small beautiful pot too.
I’m thinking about how I’m going to up my skills for my next landscape as I’ve got a lot of competition from the 3 creators you’ve chosen 😊

It's funny to me how you're thinking about impressing us with this when it's already impressive that you do both bonsai and blacksmithing as hobbies. The two most difficult things you could've picked up lol.

Nice little effort and I liked the little bamboo bridge. Hats off to you for keeping that Fukien going and I liked the wiring you did for it. My only issue is why you didnt put a bobcat in the setting. Great stuff expecially wheh you consider the time of the year. As I mentioned to Gail, I've got a long term 'action' landscape in early production...but I am guessing at least a year before I can see if the idea has even started to work. Cheers Xav

I can’t say anything makes me uncomfortable . . . with bonsai. Plenty of things make me uncomfortable in real life 🤣
