What do the Level 4 CET assignments involve?

Hello, in this video we describe what Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training Assignments involve and how we at Carlton Training support you to achieve your qualification.

There are both theoretical and practical assignments that you will complete to achieve your certificate.

The theory assignments cover topics such as:

• Analysing different teaching methods, to ensure that students benefit from your lessons

• Comparing assessment methods which you will use to check your learners’ progress

• Inclusion in teaching, and how to engage your learners

The background study you undertake for this will not only help you complete your theory assignments but also help you plan and deliver effective lessons. The course relates the latest theory to your own teaching.

The practical assignments involve hands on course planning and design, work on your lesson structures, and teaching a planned course. Also included are observations of your real-life teaching. This is where your tutor will visit you when you are teaching – as well as assessing your lessons they will also provide expert advice and feedback to you.

And finally, the last assignment to complete is an optional unit on the teaching topic of your choice, for example :

• Designing and evaluating learning programs
• Coaching and mentoring
• Working with individuals and small groups.

You’ll study this independently, under the guidance and support of your tutor.
