Tell the customers to re-use their old plastic bags instead of throwing them in the street or buy a recyclable green bag. In the Philippine, a shop will put cigarettes in a bag, medicine in a bag, meat in a bag and then put everything else is again placed in one bag. Vegetable markets are the worse because every item is put in a separate bag then most of the bags end up in the sewage system or the water drains which gets choked. When a typhoon arrives, the water washes everything into the rivers dumping all the plastic on the beach or the ocean. There are places so thick with the rubbish and junk, people build their shanty house on top.
