This one is next level. Something very special. The performance is amazing, but the song itself is one for the ages. The emotions it conveys are unlike any song I've heard. It captures the feeling of being in love, knowing how vulnerable it makes you, knowing you may as well embrace the pain because real love is not like the romanticized ideal we are led to expect. Real love hurts, even if you love a saint who would never do bad things. But almost no one is that harmless. Most relationships have an element of ongoing pain and conflict. Some are downright toxic, but the person is so mesmerizing that we go gladly, affectionately even, relishing the inevitable turn of the knife that -- for some reason -- makes us feel alive.
