Touched with Fire stars Katie Homes and Luke Kirby as two poets with bipolar disorder whose art is fueled by their emotional extremes. When they meet in a treatment facility, their chemistry is instant and intense driving each other's mania to new heights. They pursue their passion which breaks outside the bounds of sanity, swinging them from fantastical highs to tormented lows until they ultimately must choose between sanity and love.

I'm so excited for this to be in theatres. This is exactly my world and what I live with daily. Maybe now more people will be aware and more supportive in a way they have never been. We're not crazy, unreliable or any of those things people label us. We do lead very productive lives and yes most have jobs. We just live life with struggles everyday, huge struggles, we have accepted it and push through it. Getting out of bed is tough, remembering to eat and take your meds, showering, house hold chores can all be tough. Anxiety is my worst enemy but I'm trying to be friends with it so its signs and symptoms are not so tough. It takes incredible strong people to live with this and end even stronger to openly talk about this. Known fact people with mental illness are highly intelligent people. We're not crazy. Come on people get talking about mental illness.

I'm sorry, but Luke's character was more scitzo than bipolar. I'm bipolar and I didn't/don't act or think like that. The concept of the movie would have been more interesting if they showed these characters in conventional every day situations. Also, he couldn't stop smoking before he went in and suddenly he didn't smoke. They let you smoke outside in these institutions. I went into one of these places at the beginning of treatment. Never again. God forbid you couldn't sleep. The nurse was so pissed that I was up and hungry. She gave me a cookie, but not before she let me know I interrupted her evening alone. I have low blood sugar and needed more than a cookie! Also, I would never go into one of these places again. It was a nightmare. Once you are in, they don't let you out anytime soon. You also have roommates that drive you even more depressed and angry. They even ask you if you had a bowel movement right in front of all the other patients, ..male and female. It was the most degrading experience of my life. And, there is absolutely nothing to do in these places. The movie depressed me. I couldn't finish it.
