Year of Deployment in #Short – We Are NATO

Soldiers assigned to the 🇺🇸 1st Infantry Division have been deployed throughout Europe for the last 12 months. The 1st Infantry Division is proudly working alongside NATO Allies and partners to provide combat-credible forces.

The United States has over 100,000 servicemembers in Europe right now, performing three missions: 
- First, we are deterring aggression against NATO territory 
- Second, we are reassuring our NATO Allies 
- And third, we are standing in support of Ukraine as it defends itself against Russia’s invasion 

U.S. soldiers all over Europe, including Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, as well as the Baltics, are under the command of V Corps..

10% of a deployment to a non combat zone is what you have showed me. The other 90% is literally just sitting around, cleaning the barracks, doing paperwork, pt, and other boring stuff.
