Anderson Engineering became fully employee owned in 2000. “I’ve seen the change in our employees,” says Neil Brady, President and CEO of Anderson Engineering. “Before, our employees were working and the income and the profits were going to a couple people that owned the company. Now, every person realizes that they have a stake in the company and they do what they need to do to make this company better — which is taking care of our clients.” Brady says they have seen great growth in the last five years which he attributes to being employee owned.

Why are most people taught to work for a wage or salary instead of working at a cooperative or employee-owned company? Most people feel like they'll never be rich working for a wage. I wish I could start a company. I feel tired after work and it makes me sad I wish I could do more.

100 percent employ owned does not say that everything comes back to them for their hard work. They can take as much as they want off the top in bonuses.
