Jazak Allah ho Khair...you rightly said about Sahaba Ikram that they never possessed or rolled over Jinns....as they were more into Practical life. But I think in my poor opinion that today's world is the world of Shaitan, evil has grown in abundance over the centuries. Jinns are now much in power and they are possessing humankind on much rapid speed than ever before. You rightly said that Surrah jinn is not the source of possessing any Jinn as its never been advised by our beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W in any authetic Hadith, never any Sahabi recited Surrah Jinn for such illogical purpose. May Allah protect our Imaan/Faiths and also protects us from Shaitan Jinns Ameen

Assalamualaikum, I made intension to see Jinns I started recited Surah Jinns each day I remember after 20 days I saw in my dreams group of Jinns I asked forgiveness from Allah and thank full to see the Jins in my dreams, I Stop reciting Surah Jinns next day immediately, I am regular person who recite Quran since from early childhood and read Surah Jinns once in a while.
