I was watching Eugenie. She threw her service toss up tilted behind her too often. It should have been more straight up (or at least over her head instead of behind he head). The service toss being behind her head was getting her off balance. The variation in the position of the service toss was throwing off her consistency. In other words an inconsistent service toss led directly to an inconsistent serve. Eugenie needs to practice this a lot. Admittedly she may sometimes wish to vary the service toss position at the apex. However, the variation I saw could only lead to inconsistent and troubled serves.
