RC Flying Lego Airplane

Behold! the worlds first RC flying lego plane! This has always been something i've wanted to try as a kid. Its humorous due to the nature of legos being super heavy and not a viable material for airframe construction.... well it was time for someone to put that theory to the test!

Some technical info...

If you're new to RC, go check out FliteTest's beginner series (its a little dated but the info is still relevant) Its an excellent resource to getting into RC flight. (plus I used to work there :D)

I can't believe that thing flew with the aerodynamics of a chair and wings that were freaking rectangle and dotted!

You should have used Technic as it's structurally better and has pieces perfect for making air foils also Power Functions are thing.

Put wings on it, a big motor, and balance it well, and anything can fly xD

Nice job Peter! Looks like the struts worked well. I was expecting the wings to fold. One good thing about the lego plane is that it can never really break. It'll just come apart then you just snap it back together and fly again. No hot glue required. I challenge you to make a lego propeller for it. You're allowed to use epoxy.
