I never noticed until now that Egon subtly displays four fingers to Venkman before the latter tells the manager that it's going to cost $4, 000 for the entrapment.

Not counting the ghost in Ray's dream, since it was just a dream, there was not a single on screen ghost during the entire sequence. Yet, with a single prop holding some dry ice in it, this movie was able to give the feeling that they've been going for a long time, gaining tons of experience and becoming famous. That's intelligent film making.

The shot of the three running down the sidewalk in full uniform is the very first scene shot for this movie. The director said that the imagery gave him a chill down his spine. He didn't know why but he knew they were making something special and he was right

I miss montages in movies. They kept the story going without dragging it on.

1:06 the guy behind the news reporter actually wasn't part of the set. He just wandered into the set and just thought that that was an actual new report.

I am so glad Ernie Hudson was in this film. Winston is my favourite Buster.

For all those who are against the remake, look at it this way. Whether the movie bombs or is successful doesn't matter, we still have the original to enjoy. Nothing can take that away.

A focused, non-terminal, repeating phantasm, or a class 5 full-roaming vapor. A real nasty one, too.

"Do you believe in UFO's, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trans mediums, the loch ness monster, and the theory of Atlantis?"

Love how Jeanine says those things and how bored she looks.

I crack my ass out of laughing every time I see Ray's face when he gets his gear blown...

Casey Kasem: Still making headlines all across the country, the Ghostbusters are at it again. This time, at the fashionable dance club, "The Rose." The boys in gray slugged it out with a pretty pesky poltergeist, then stayed on to dance the night away with some of the lovely ladies who witnessed the disturbance. This is Casey Kasem. Now, on with the countdown.

I live a few blocks from Senn High, Harold Ramis's alma mater.  Last summer, I was riding my bike home and I passed Chase Park, where they were showing a movie outside (Chicago Parks has a program where they show movies in the summer) and I heard the line, "Well, there's something you don't see every day" and I instantly knew it was Ghostbusters and the Stay-Puft marshmallow man had just arrived.

When the movie ended, everyone applauded when Ramis's name came up in the final credits.

HECK, MY GRANDMA USED TO SPIN YARNS ABOUT A SPECTRAL LOCOMOTIVE THAT WOULD *ROCKET* PAST THE FARM WHERE SHE GREW UP

This is why this movie is such a classic masterpiece, you can actually see that they take their stuff seriously and do jokes whenever is convenient for them, not just because.
And they're even ingenious jokes that would make everyone laugh.
For example Winston's answers about believing in anything.

If there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say.
