While it may be of huge benefit to airlines, the concept of long-haul narrowbody flights have long been controversial among passengers. Whether fair or not, many argue that they're less comfortable than widebodies, although new technology plays a vital role in making cabins feel more spacious.

Traveling Long-haul with single-aisle aircraft is an intriguing concept economically. While a narrowbody has a far lower trip cost than a widebody, they have a higher seat-mile cost, higher cost per seat, and fewer seats to fill. The balance depends partly on the degree of premium passengers or lack of competition, as well as the market's ability to pay higher fares to offset higher seat costs.

In today’s video, let’s examine which airlines are deploying the 737 max narrowbody on long-haul services…

I haven't taken it on the MAX but I've flown many 7-hour flights with Copa from PTY to Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Although I have not been on this flight, but one of the longest 737 max flights I can think of is Reykjavik to Seattle on an Icelandair 737 MAX 9

"Feeling" more spacious and actually being more spacious are two different things.

Depending on that flight I might take it to Malaysia from Melbourne.

With densification of wide body aircraft (9 seats in 787, 10 i 777 etc), the narrowbody and old 767 now sport more comfortable and wider seats than the new widebodies. The one problem with narrowbodies is galley. For long hauls, widebodies are generally able of 2 hot meals, not narrowbodies. (though 2 hot meals are now limited to only true log hauls, not trans-atlantic).

Wow cool to see! The longest 737 MAX 8 flight I took was with American 🇺🇸 from DCA-ORD ✈️ It doesn’t even come close to the mentioned routes 😆 😛
You should make a video on the 10 oldest 737 MAX’s in commercial service today 😊

My longest 737 flight was london stansted to dalaman international, ik it isn’t that far, but being on a 737 for 4.30 hours isn’t fun

Don’t matter aircraft size, economy will still jam you in like sardines in a can.
